Alexander S.
Alexander S.

Alexander’s first instrument is bagpipes.  He started taking tenor lessons from Marcie just before the 2006 competition season. He helped ensure NWJPB could field a Grade 5 band in 2007, so he played with Grade 4 on pipes, and Grade 5 on tenor from 2006-2010.  He moved an individual status of a Grade 1 Piper and a Grade 1 tenor in 2009! 

 

 

Alexis H.

Alexis started playing tenor with NWJPB in 2009 and quickly moved into the Grade 4 mid-section to play with her sister, who is a NWJPB graduate and junior instructor.  She is getting ready to compete individually.

 

 

Ali N.

Ali’s first year was NWJPB’s 2007-2008 Scotland year.  She learned quickly and played in the world’s Grade 4 2008 mid-section.  She graduated out of NWJPB in 2009 and currently plays with Robert Malcolm Memorial Grade 3 Pipe Band and won the Season Aggregate for Grade 2 tenor in 2010.

Audrey started tenor lessons with Marcie at NWJPB in January 2007. In February, she attended the Mastery of Scottish Arts winter school with champion tenor drummer with Tyler Fry of the The House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band, who was blown away by her quick study. Tyler sent Marcie a note telling her she’s doing great things for our area, and to keep up the great work.

  

 

Brandon B.

Brandon B.

Brandon is a kit drummer that volunteered to take on the Bass drum for NWJPB Grade 4 in 2006 and played till 2008 when he decided to play Tenor drum for NWJPB Grade 4.  Brandon was a part of the World’s mid-section in 2008.  Brandon graduated NWJPB in 2009, but still comes back to pick up the drum and help out.

Colleen S.
Colleen S.
Colleen is a Premier Scottish Highland Dancer with Karen Shelton Highland Dance. Her sister was the pipe major for NWJPB’s Grade 5 band in 2004.  She started taking lessons from Marcie in 2007 , and was out on the competition field with the Grade 4 band by the end of the summer. She played in Scotland in the 2008  mid-section the year she graduated out.  She continued on to play with the Keith Higlanders Pipe Band, Grade 3.  And now is a valued instructor and accomplished individual tenor competitor taking 2nd this season in Grade 2 tenor.

Katie started with Marcie in late Spring of 2006, and competed with NWJPB at the end of the season Whidbey Island Highland Games.  She played in Scotland in the 2008  mid-section and then graduated out. You can still see her swing her sticks at practice every once in a while.

Katie made the leap from Side drum to Tenor in NWJPB and played with the Grade 4 mid-section in 2008-2009 season.  She picked up flourishing quickly and added great percussion to the corps.

Kendra M.

Kendra does it all. A competitive Highland Dancer, she played with NWJPB on Tenor and bass, learned to play bagpipes for her senior project, learned and played side drum and has now plays the Grade 3 Washington Scottish Pipe Band on tenor!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lochlynn Camp

Lochlynn started playing tenor with Marcie in 2007.  She has played with the NWJPB’s Grade 5 mid-section and is working hard to move up to NWJPB Grade 4. 

 

 

Marissa Lytle

Marissa played tenor in NWJPB mid-section the 2008-2009 season before graduating to a junior instructor with NWJPB.  She was a playing instructor in the 2009-2010 NWJPB mid-section with her sister.  She is working hard at individual competitions now.

 

 

 

Morgan S.

Morgan S.
Morgan was Northwest Junior Pipe Band Grade 5 Bass drummer, and Grade 4 Side Drummer until 2008 when he became the Grade 4 Bass drummer.  He has taken first place in his bass drumming, receiving wonderful comments and keeps the band together.  In 2009 he decided to start piping, and competed in the 2010 season with Grade 5.

Sarena is a talented musician. A middle school choir director, former member of the Grade 3 Washington Scottish Pipe Band, Keith Highlanders’ Pipe Band, and Sir John A. .
